Praline Topping for Cheesecake or Apple Pie is one of my favorite ways to dress up a simple dessert and make it feel extra special. Just a few minutes on the stove, and you’ll have the most delicious, glossy topping that’ll have everyone asking for seconds!
What makes this topping so wonderful is how the brown sugar and cream come together to create that silky, caramel-like sauce, and then those toasted pecans add the most delightful crunch and nuttiness. There’s nothing quite like the aroma of vanilla and pecans simmering away — it fills your whole kitchen with warmth.
I love drizzling this over a slice of cheesecake at Sunday dinners, or spooning it generously over warm apple pie fresh from the oven. My grandchildren always know when Gran’s making this topping because they come running to the kitchen, hoping to lick the spoon!
