Margie’s Shortbread Oatmeal Cookies

Margie’s Shortbread Oatmeal Cookies are a treasure from my dear friend’s kitchen, and I just had to share them with you all. These buttery, oaty treats have been bringing smiles to our gatherings for years, and I know they’ll become a favorite in your home too.

What makes these cookies so special is the perfect combination of wholesome oats and rich butter that creates that tender shortbread texture we all crave. The brown sugar adds a lovely warmth and depth of flavor that keeps folks reaching for just one more cookie.

I love baking these when the grandchildren are visiting—there’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh cookies filling the kitchen and bringing everyone together around the table. They’re wonderful for sharing at church socials, school bake sales, or simply enjoying with a cup of tea on a quiet afternoon.
