Holiday Bourbon Whiskey Meatballs are one of my favorite appetizers to bring to holiday gatherings—they’re always the first thing to disappear from the table! These little bites of joy come together so easily, and folks just can’t resist them.
What makes these meatballs truly special is that gorgeous bourbon-spiked sauce, made with catsup, brown sugar, and a splash of bourbon whiskey that gives them a sophisticated kick. The Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice add just the right tang to balance all those rich, sweet flavors beautifully.
I love watching my family’s faces light up when they taste these at holiday parties—there’s something about that warm, boozy-sweet glaze that brings back memories of celebrations past. These meatballs have a way of bringing everyone together around the appetizer table, and I wouldn’t dream of a holiday without them.

Holiday Bourbon Whiskey Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 pound Meatballs
- 0.5 cup Catsup
- 0.5 cup Brown Sugar
- 0.25 cup Alcoholic Beverage
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
Instructions
- NOTE: 1 bag of (1 pound) frozen meatballs is only about 18 to 20 larger size meatballs.
- That is perfect for a small get-together.
- But if youre going to a larger party, you might want to get TWO bags of meatballs, and in that case you would then DOUBLE the above recipe.
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients except your meatballs.
- Mix up really well.
- Place your frozen meatballs into your crock pot, and pour the whiskey sauce in on top.
- Mix it up all around so each meatball is coated with the whiskey sauce.
- Now turn up the heat to high.
- Leave it on high for about an hour, stirring a couple times.
- Once it appears that the meatballs have somewhat thawed, go ahead and turn your crockpot down to low.
- You dont want to burn all that wonderful whiskey sauce!
- Thats the best part!
- Boy these are so good!
- Now I know where whiskey-a-go-go came from!
