Ravioli Lasagna

Ravioli Lasagna is one of those wonderful shortcuts that makes you look like you’ve been cooking all day without all the fuss! It’s hearty, satisfying, and honestly, it’s become a favorite at my table because it comes together so quickly.

What makes this dish so special is how the frozen ravioli does most of the work for you—they’re already filled with delicious cheese and beef, so all you need to do is layer them with a good tomato sauce and plenty of mozzarella and parmesan. The cheese melts into every nook and cranny, creating this gorgeous, comforting bake that tastes like you spent hours in the kitchen.

I love making this when the grandchildren are coming over because everyone leaves happy and satisfied, and there are usually happy seconds! It’s the kind of dish that brings families together around the table, and it freezes beautifully too, so you can make it ahead for those busy nights.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 pound Parmesan Cheese
  • 26 ounce Tomato Sauce
  • 2 cup Mozzarella
  • 0.5 pound Beef

Instructions

  • Place frozen ravioli in a greased baking dish.
  • Lay pieces flat without overlapping.
  • Cover completely with tomato sauce (and browned ground beef, if desired).
  • You could double the ravioli, sauce and meat if you’d like to have 2 layers.
  • I only did a single layer because I was only cooking for 2.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake in a 350F oven for approximately 40 minutes.
  • Uncover and bake an additional 5-10 minutes, until cheese is melted.
  • During the last 10 minutes, while uncovered, sprinkle with oregano and add some fresh basil leaves.
  • Serve with Italian bread.
