Oh sweethearts, let me share my Vanilla-Maple Apple Pie Filling with you—it’s the most wonderful way to capture the essence of autumn in every bite! I’ve been making this filling for years, and it never fails to bring smiles to my family’s table.
What makes this recipe so special is the beautiful marriage of warm vanilla extract and rich maple syrup, which brings out the natural sweetness of the apples without overpowering them. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice keeps everything bright and balanced, and the simple technique ensures your filling turns out perfect every single time.
I love serving this in a flaky homemade crust, but I’ve also spooned it over vanilla ice cream and stirred it into oatmeal on chilly mornings. My grandchildren always request this filling by name, and there’s nothing quite like seeing their faces light up when they taste that first warm spoonful.
