The Better Waffle is one of my favorite recipes to make for the whole family on lazy Sunday mornings. There’s something so special about pulling a warm, golden waffle right off the iron and knowing you’ve made it with wholesome ingredients right from your own kitchen.
What makes this recipe truly special is the combination of oats and seeds mixed right into the batter—they add such wonderful texture and nutrition that you won’t find in ordinary waffles. The nutmeg brings just a whisper of warmth and spice that keeps everyone asking what your secret is.
I love serving these with fresh berries and a drizzle of maple syrup, watching my grandchildren’s faces light up as they take that first bite. These waffles have become our Saturday tradition, and now the grandkids help me mix the dry ingredients and make the well—some of my favorite memories are made right there at the kitchen counter.
