Swedish Butter Cookies are one of my most treasured recipes, passed down through generations of my family. These little golden delights are so simple to make, yet they bring such joy to anyone who bites into them.
What makes these cookies truly special is the beautiful combination of rich butter and a touch of syrup that creates the most wonderfully tender texture. The baking soda gives them just the right amount of lift, making them light and crispy on the edges while staying soft in the center.
I love baking these with my grandchildren during the holidays, and watching their faces light up when they taste one warm from the oven never gets old. These cookies are perfect for sharing with neighbors or tucking into a tin for someone special—they always remind people of home and love.
