The Shortbread Cookies “Hugs & Kisses” Recipe is one of my most treasured recipes, dear—the kind that brings everyone to the table with smiles on their faces. These buttery little treats are simple to make but taste like pure love in every bite.
What makes these cookies so special is the combination of butter and cornstarch, which creates that delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture that shortbread is famous for. The confectioners’ sugar keeps them tender and sweet, and there’s no fussy frosting or complicated steps—just honest, good ingredients working together beautifully.
I love baking these with my grandchildren, watching their little faces light up as they decorate each one with their own special “hugs and kisses.” They’ve become the cookies I make for every family gathering, and now my children make them too—that’s how you know a recipe is truly special.
