One Pot Cake is the most wonderfully simple dessert you can make right in your kitchen, dear. I’ve been baking this for years, and it never fails to bring smiles to the table.
What makes this cake so special is how the raisins plump up beautifully in the boiling water, adding natural sweetness and moisture throughout. Just a touch of baking soda creates the most tender crumb, and everything comes together in that one trusty pot.
I love bringing this to church gatherings and family suppers because it’s so easy to transport, and folks always ask for the recipe. My grandchildren have watched me make it countless times, and now they’re learning to bake it themselves—that’s what fills my heart the most.
