Grilled Asparagus

Grilled Asparagus is one of my favorite ways to dress up this lovely green vegetable, dear. It’s so simple to prepare, yet it tastes like you’ve spent all day in the kitchen!

The magic happens when you toss those tender spears with a wonderful blend of balsamic vinegar, fresh lemon juice, and good olive oil. Just a touch of soy sauce and cracked black pepper brings out flavors you didn’t even know were hiding in there.

I love serving this alongside grilled chicken or fish at the family table, and it never fails to bring smiles all around. My grandchildren used to turn their noses up at asparagus until I grilled it this way—now they ask for seconds!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Asparagus
  • 3 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce Made From Soy
  • 0.125 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cut off tough ends of asparagus.
  • Combine all ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag.
  • Seal and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Remove asparagus from bag, and discard marinade.
  • Place asparagus on grill rack or grill pan coated with cooking spray.
  • Grill at medium to medium-high temperature for 5 minutes on each side or until asparagus is done.
