The Molasses Sugar Cookies Recipe is one of my most treasured holiday traditions, dear ones. These warm, spiced cookies have been bringing smiles to my family’s faces for decades, and I just know they’ll become a favorite in your kitchen too.
What makes these cookies so special is that wonderful combination of molasses, warm spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cloves that fill your home with the most heavenly aroma. The secret is in how you cream that shortening just right—it creates cookies that are soft and chewy on the inside with the perfect tender crumb.
I love sharing these cookies at church gatherings and holiday parties, watching people’s faces light up when they take that first bite. My grandchildren always request a batch during the holidays, and now I’m passing this recipe down so you can create those same sweet memories with the ones you love.
