Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 0.25 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • We top the cake with a dusting of confectioners' sugar, but you also can use whipped cream or possibly nondairy topping.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease an 8-inch square cake pan and set aside.
  • Set aside.
  • In medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
  • In large bowl, mix mayonnaise, hot water and vanilla.
  • Add in dry ingredients and beat with an electric mixer on low speed till smooth.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake till a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean, about 35 min.
  • Remove to wire rack and let cold.
  • Just before serving, dust top with confectioners' sugar.
