Balsamic Soy-Glazed Chicken Wings

Balsamic Soy-Glazed Chicken Wings are one of my favorite ways to get the family gathered around the table with sticky fingers and happy hearts. These beautiful wings have that perfect balance of tangy and savory that keeps everyone coming back for more.

What makes these wings so special, dearie, is the wonderful combination of balsamic vinegar and soy sauce that creates the most luscious glaze you’ve ever tasted. The simple ingredients—just olive oil, salt, pepper, and those two magic liquids—let the chicken really shine through while caramelizing into something absolutely divine.

I love serving these wings at gatherings because they’re always the first thing to disappear from the platter, and they bring such joy to my grandchildren’s faces. There’s something about sharing food that’s been made with love and a little bit of kitchen wisdom that makes memories stick with you forever.

Ingredients

  • 4 pound Chicken
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 0.75 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 0.25 cup Soy Sauce Made From Soy
  • 2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

Instructions

  • Put oven racks in upper and lower thirds of oven.
  • Line 2 large shallow baking pans (17 by 11 inches) with foil.
  • Put pans in oven and preheat oven to 500F.
  • Pat wings dry, then toss with oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl and divide between preheated pans, spreading wings in 1 layer.
  • Roast, without turning, until golden and tender, about 35 minutes.
  • While wings roast, simmer vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar in a 1- to 1 1/2-quart heavy saucepan, stirring occasionally, until reduced to about 1/3 cup, 12 to 14 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted.
  • Remove roasted wings from oven and let stand in pans 1 minute (to make wings easier to remove from foil), then transfer with tongs to a clean large bowl.
  • Pour balsamic mixture over wings and toss to coat well.
  • Let stand 5 minutes, then toss again.
