- 1 cup Bread Crumbs
- 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 0.25 cup Butter
- 1 cup Oats
- 2 tablespoon Water
- 0.5 cup Pickle Relish
- 1 tablespoon Onions
- 1 teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 c. tomato juice
For stuffing, combine all ingredients.
Mix well.
Cut steaks into 6 pcs.
Sprinkle proportionately with salt.
Place 1/4 c. stuffing in center of each piece.
Roll up; fasten securely with two skewers, toothpicks or possibly tie with string.
Roll in flour.
Brown meat rolls in a small amount of warm shortening in large frying pan.
Add in the 1 c. of tomato juice.
Cover and simmer about 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till tender.
If necessary add in more tomato juice.
